General Rental Information:
Rental Periods:
Weekly: 3 – 7 days
Monthly: 15 – 28 days. A rental month is 28 days
Running Rates:
Standby: 1 hour per day, not to exceed 28 hours in a month.
Prime Single: No more than 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, or
160 hours per month
Prime Double: No more than 16 hours per day, 110 hours per week,
or 440 hours per month.
Continuous: Constant 24 hours per day
Excess: Excess hours will be billed as per price sheet or next higher
rate, whatever is lower.
Insurance:
Each piece of equipment must be covered by renter’s insurance
per valuation listed on Rental Rate Chart. “Loss Payee”
must be listed as Cummins Northeast, 100 Allied Drive, Dedham, MA
02026.
Transportation:
Transportation charges are not included in rental rates. It is a
separate charge that will be included in the rental quote. Customer
will also be billed for any additional waiting time by the transport
company due to customer’s unpreparedness.
Cables:
Cummins Northeast will supply, at additional charge to the rental,
4/0 type W cables in fifty-foot lengths with Camloc ends. Any ends
cut off by the customer will be charged an additional $65.00 per
end to customer. Pricing does include three-foot pigtails.
Fuel:
All generators are to be fueled at the customers’ site and
at the customers’ expense. Units cannot be transported with
more than 200 gallons of fuel in them.
Preventative Maintenance:
Preventative Maintenance is required after 250 hours of use on units
up to 350 kW and after 500 hours of use on units over 500 kW. This
will be an additional charge to the customer’s rental and
MUST be performed by a certified Cummins technician.
Operator Training:
Operator training is available at the renter’s option with
a Cummins certified technician and can be included in the rental
quote (additional rates apply for overtime and holidays).
Please note that Cummins Northeast is not responsible
for serving and paying fees for permits, licenses, certificates,
inspections, registration and the like required by the state, city,
town government or regulatory agency that may be required in any
way for the installation and operation of such equipment.
